I've known Preeti for a long long time now. Her parents, Narayanan uncle and Indra aunty live next door. Shooting the Sathabishekam, Uncle's 80th was quite an experience as a photographer. The deep familiarity of the space and the people involved gave me a very unique visual perspective.

Sathabhishekam (80th birthday)

The celebration of 80th birthday is called the 'Sathabhishekam'.Reaching the age of 80 with healthy body and mind is one of the greatest achievements of a man's life. The couples who have continued their journey for long 80 years are treated in a very special way on this day as they have left their foot prints for their grand children to follow up. They considered as blessed couples as they have seen their 3 generations and are lucky to witness each and every major functions of the family.Having someone who has lived up to this age and getting their blessings is just such good Karma (fortune).
